LSL Secondary School Programme

Building upon the strong foundation of our Primary Programme, the Secondary School programme at Lead International School offers a dynamic and supportive environment where students flourish as they journey towards adulthood. Our mission is to ensure every student is exceptionally prepared for their IGCSE examinations and also ready for seamless transition into tertiary studies and beyond. As part of the LSL Education Group, all our Year 11 students are also provided additional support in mentorship and applications to their tertiary educational institution of their choice through the LSL Student Placement Centre.

The IGCSE Pathway: Foundation for Global Success

Our secondary curriculum is built upon the Cambridge International IGCSE framework, a gold standard in global education. We offer a rigourous yet flexible academic programme that allows students to discover their passions while achieving excellence in core subjects like English, Mathematics, and Sciences. This pathway is designed to challenge our learners to think critically and apply their knowledge in complex, real-world scenarios.

SPM Bahasa Malaysia & Sejarah

While we offer a robust Cambridge IGCSE pathway, we distinguish ourselves by providing integrated support for SPM Bahasa Malaysia and Sejarah qualifications. This unique dual-focus approach empowers our students with the versatility to excel on the international stage while meeting essential local professional requirements for careers in law, medicine, and the civil service. By bridging the gap between global academic standards and national heritage, we ensure your child is prepared for every opportunity, whether their journey takes them across the globe or keeps them right here at home.

Deep Learning & Advanced Competencies

We elevate the classroom experience by embedding Deep Learning into our Secondary Curriculum. Students engage with the “6 Cs” developing the advanced communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills that top universities value most. This approach ensures our learners are not just passing exams, but are becoming active innovators and creators.

Holistic Growth & Global Stewardship

Our education methodology goes beyond the classroom and connects students with real-world issues. We have integrated the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into our daily learning, encouraging students to develop empathy and a sense of responsibility toward the environment and their community.

LSL Elite IGCSE Programme

Elite IGCSE Pathway: A Headstart for Gifted Learners*

The transition from Primary 6 to Secondary school is a pivotal moment for every child. For highly motivated and academically gifted students, the standard pace of education can sometimes feel restrictive. At Lead International School, we recognise that exceptional talent requires an exceptional environment. Our Elite IGCSE Pathway is a programme designed specifically for students who are ready to embrace a more rigorous academic journey as they enter their secondary years.

We offer a distinctive advantage that sets our graduates apart from their peers across Malaysia. While we follow the world-renowned Cambridge International IGCSE framework, our Elite track is structured to be completed in just four years. This is not merely about saving time; it is about providing a purposeful head start.

By choosing this accelerated route, our students enter pre-university or A-Levels a year earlier, equipped with the resilience and qualifications to lead in their chosen fields.

* The Elite IGCSE Pathway is by exclusive invite or by through selective application only. Students who are interested are required to go through an assessment programme to be deemed eligible. Students must maintain a minimum grade score average throughout the programme.

In Lower Secondary, students engage in ICT modules and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) education, which is enriched through community service programmes. These initiatives encourage students to apply classroom learning to real-world contexts, fostering empathy, leadership, and social responsibility. By participating in projects that address sustainability, environmental awareness, and community needs, students develop a deeper understanding of their role as global citizens.

This holistic approach builds a solid foundation for success in the IGCSE years, where emphasis is placed on academic rigor, critical thinking, and robust language skills.

Extra Curricular & Co-Curricular Activities

A balanced education shouldn’t come at the cost of family time or additional commutes. While most schools conduct ECA and CCA sessions after the formal school day ends, at Lead International School, we have purposefully integrated these activities directly into our daily timetable.

By making co-curricular activities a core part of our scheduled hours, we ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate and excel without the fatigue of an extended day. This approach offers several meaningful benefits for our community:

  • Empowering Parents: You can plan your afternoons and evenings with greater ease, knowing your child’s enrichment is fully supported within school hours.
  • Student Wellbeing: Students remain fresh and engaged, as their physical and creative outlets are balanced naturally with their academic lessons.
  • Consistent Participation: Every learner is included, fostering a stronger sense of school spirit and ensuring no one misses out due to transport or external commitments.

We believe that by respecting the boundaries of family time and providing a structured, supportive environment for growth, we empower our students to become well-rounded individuals who are ready for the world.
