True Stories, Transformational Impact

Hear what our parents and students have to say about their experience with LSL. Discover why Lead International School is the choice for holistic development for your child.

Madam Ho Pei Yee – Parent of Gen Teck

My son has been with the school since its very first day, and it has been wonderful to see the school grow alongside the students. What I value most is the close communication between the school team and parents, which gives me confidence that my child is always well supported.

The small class sizes are a real strength. They allow every student to take part and receive personal attention, which has helped my son become more confident and expressive.

Beyond academics, the school provides enriching experiences such as field trips, community service and memorable year‑end events. These have added so much to his development and created lasting memories for our family.

We are truly grateful to be part of such a nurturing and dedicated school community.

Ms Jess – Parent of Jun Tao

Both my sons joined Lead International School (LSL) in 2022 as part of the very first batch, one in Year 9 and the other in Year 4. The Personalised IGCSE Programme (PIP) gave my elder son the support he needed, helping him prepare effectively and build a strong mindset.

Ms Lim Siew Li, the founder, has been a source of trust and confidence through her strong leadership. She has shaped the school into a welcoming and supportive environment where I know my sons are in good hands.

A key strength of LSL is its transparent academic system and open communication. Parents are encouraged to meet with the principal and teachers whenever needed, which makes the school feel approachable and supportive.

I am impressed by the teachers’ dedication. They provide timely intervention classes and Zoom sessions to ensure no student is left behind.

I also value the decision to split general science into Biology, Chemistry and Physics in Year 8, giving students clearer insight into whether to pursue Business or Science.

For tertiary preparation, the school offers university tours, counselling, career guidance and application support. I am especially grateful to Ms Esther for her dedicated advice throughout this process.

Ms Rita – Parent of Mun Hing

When I first came across LSL, I honestly did not expect much. The school was small compared to the international school my children were attending at the time, which had bigger facilities but overcrowded classes of 30 or more students. My son was struggling there, so I decided to give LSL a chance for my youngest.

To my surprise, he achieved 4As in his exams, having previously only managed Cs. At first I wondered if the exams were too easy, but after showing the papers to tutors and friends, they confirmed the work was of a high Cambridge standard. His success in the Cambridge Checkpoint reassured me completely, and I soon enrolled my other son as well.

Since joining, both of my children have grown not only academically but also in character. They were once quiet and reserved, but now they are more proactive, confident, and open at home. Their happiness has truly blossomed.

The teachers at LSL teach with heart. They care deeply for the students, going beyond academics to nurture them as individuals. I feel at peace knowing my children are thriving in such a supportive environment.

Ms Shella – Parent of En Ya

We’ve had a wonderful experience with LSL. From the start, the small class sizes stood out, as they allow teachers to give each child the attention they need.

The teachers are caring and attentive, and what I appreciate most is that they genuinely know the children. Every teacher remembers my daughter’s name, which speaks volumes about the school’s culture.

Morning drop‑offs are always cheerful, with teachers greeting the children with a smile that sets a positive tone for the day.

I also value the monthly parent‑teacher meetings, which give us clear updates on her progress and help us stay involved.

Most importantly, the school focuses on encouragement rather than punishment. Since joining, my daughter has improved greatly, and she is happy and enjoys learning.

Overall, we are very grateful for the nurturing environment LSL provides.

Ms Fatehah Bt Ismail – Parent of Farrell

I am truly grateful for the wonderful experience our family has had with Lead International School (LSL). Farrell has grown not only academically but also in confidence, curiosity and character.

What stands out most is the genuine care and dedication of the teachers. They nurture the students with patience and understanding, instilling discipline in a thoughtful way that has helped Farrell become more responsible and respectful.

The balance between strong academics and holistic development has allowed him to enjoy learning while building important life skills. I also appreciate how the school keeps parents involved and informed, which gives me great peace of mind.

LSL feels like a second home for Farrell, and I am excited to see his journey continue here.

Mr Kevin Tan – Parent of Jade

My daughter has been a student at LSL since Year 3, and the transformation I have seen in her is remarkable. What truly sets this school apart is the way the teachers balance academic excellence with a deep commitment to personal growth. The environment is exceptionally friendly and interactive, creating a space where students feel safe to explore their potential.

Through LSL’s formative approach to character development, I have watched my daughter blossom into a confident young person. She has found the courage to articulate her thoughts openly in public, stand up in class, and participate with conviction: skills that will serve her for a lifetime.

What stands out the most is how deeply the teachers understand and know each child. There is a constant, transparent dialogue between the school and the parents, allowing us to work together to celebrate areas of progress and identify where further support is needed. This level of engagement is a testament to the vision and philosophy of the school leadership. They are open, engaging, and truly dedicated to the holistic success of every learner.

Mr Alexius Cheang – Parent of Cheryl

I am incredibly happy with the progress my daughter has made at Lead International School. While academic excellence is important, what has truly impressed me is the growth in her character.

The school recently received the Best Social Impact School award, and I believe this reflects a core part of what makes the LSL environment so special. Students are regularly exposed to community outreach programmes that allow them to put their classroom learning into real-world action.

Whether it is cleaning beaches, visiting old folks’ homes, or spending time at special needs centres, my daughter always returns home with a sense of excitement and purpose. In every school, there will be academic ups and downs, but the upward trajectory of her personal growth is undeniable. Seeing her put her values into practice through service is what truly sets this school apart.

Ms Alycia – Parent of Syn Yee

What sets LSL apart is the vision and philosophy of its founder, Ms Lim. As an educator first, she ensures that every decision made is in the best interest of the students. That stability and heart have had a profound impact on my family.

Despite only being at LSL for his final year (Year 10 to graduation), our son underwent a remarkable transformation. He evolved into a respectful, polite young man who truly understands his own values. Similarly, our daughter has blossomed from a mediocre student into an outspoken, academically strong learner.

When a school is led by someone who puts students first, the results speak for themselves. We couldn’t be happier with the growth we see every day.

Mr Tan – Parent of Ryan

As a parent of a child with Cerebral Palsy, finding the right educational environment is a deeply personal journey. Our son Ryan joined Lead International School in Year 7, and from his very first day, the experience has been defined by one word: compassion.

At LSL, inclusive education is not just a policy; it is a daily practice. We have watched the teachers go above and beyond, taking the time to truly understand Ryan’s world so they can provide the best possible support for his growth. This culture of kindness extends to the students as well. Ryan has formed meaningful friendships with peers who actively support and encourage him within the classroom.

What sets LSL apart is that the values they teach are lived out by everyone on campus. From the leadership to the students, there is a genuine commitment to empathy and togetherness. We are incredibly happy to have found a sanctuary where Ryan is not just a student, but a valued member of a family that leads with heart.
