Season of Reflection and Renewal: Celebrating Hari Raya at Lead International School

The conclusion of the Hari Raya festive season at Lead International School was marked by a vibrant display of culture, talent, and shared values. Our students and teachers came together, bringing a festive energy to our school featuring a fashion show, skit, and musical performances that brought our community together.

The Path of Self-Regulation and Empathy

During the month of Ramadan, our Muslim peers practise fasting as a dedicated act of discipline, self-control, and gratitude. For our students at Lead International School, this serves as a powerful real-world lesson in self-regulation and empathy. It is a sacred time that nurtures respect and patience: qualities we strive to cultivate in every learner. Hari Raya follows as a celebration of renewal, offering a time for unity after a month of significant personal growth.

The Courage to Forgive and Look Forward

We celebrate Raya within our school to honour the beautiful cultural diversity. It is a vital opportunity to build empathy and strengthen friendships across different cultures.

At the centre of this celebration is the traditional greeting, Maaf zahir dan batin, which translates to seeking forgiveness from the heart. We teach our students that true leadership begins with reflection and the courage to forgive. By learning to let go of the things that weigh us down, we create the necessary space for joy and more resilient relationships.

A Unified Expression of the LSL Spirit

The highlight of our celebration was the incredible collaborative effort seen across the entire school. It was truly inspiring to see our students and dedicated teachers from across the LSL Education Group take to the stage to perform together.

This unity is a beautiful expression of our family spirit and a reminder of what we can achieve when we Learn, Share, and Lead as one. As we look toward the new term, we carry these lessons of kindness and togetherness with us.

Selamat Hari Raya to our entire community.
